Obama wins Nobel prize

13 10 2009

I’m not sure why, but The Obama won the Nobel prize for peace. I thought you had to actually do something to earn one of these. I guess not. Maybe talk isn’t as cheap as we thought.

Pardon me….this just in……

President Obama spent the better part of last Saturday watching college football and old movies. Sources close to the White House have confirmed that the president will now be awarded the 2010 Heisman Trophy and an Academy Award.

You can tell this award don’t mean didley when the likes of Yasser Arafat (a dang terrorist) and Jimmy Carter (a well-known dunce) win one. Obama is just the latest.

You mean like you just did? Are you quoting the Bible? If so, you may want to read that whole passage to get the context correct.

calling jimmy carter a dunce is not a judgement? ok. i suppose then it is just juvenile name calling. name call not, then….

You mean, like you just did (referring to someone’s comment as juvenile)?

You need to practice what you preach.

And you need to only preach what you understand. Matthew 7 does NOT teach that we shouldn’t judge. It says that we should judge with a right “measuring” device.

i referred to a COMMENT as Juvenile. A non living noun. The other comment referred to a PERSON as a Dunce. if you don’t recognize the difference, i won’t bother to explain. And since you so obviously only talk about that which you understand completely and fully, I will leave it there. I was making a “JOKE” about the judge not, name call not. I was really just hurt by the name calling, that’s all. a sense of humor goes a long way. i know that in my seven year old’s class, they say that name calling is bullying behavior. i tend to agree.

and it was my understanding, if you want to talk scripture, that the verse had to do with acting hypocritcially. if you use a certain measure for yourself but do not “measure up” so to speak, you should not judge others for the same behaviors. so in this case, my measure is that name calling is bullying behavior. i put out my perspective. i did not name call back as discussed above.

briewr-

You’re clearly too intelligent to be involved in such a low-brow discussion on a conservative blog.

And if what I’ve written in response to you so far has “really hurt”, you’re in no condition to read what I’m about to write.

So let’s just leave it at that.

Everyone, say bye to briewr.
