Interesting. Not at all surprising. But interesting.

Yep…and glad to hear it.

But if one is genuinely a Christ-follower and devoted family-man, it shouldn’t take 5 months to “pray about” where you will attend church.

Why shouldn’t a Christian take time and pray about where they should worship? I think it takes prayerful discernment. Especially when your presence ANYWHERE demands security and will certainly effect the congregation and its programs. I am sure that any celebrity, super-star, or big politician would greatly effect the security and goings-on of a church and I would be glad that this decision would not be taken lightly.

And his new minister will be a Southern Baptist.

So when he stands in judgment on the last day and he’s asked why he didn’t follow the command of Scripture (Hebrews 10:25) he should just tell God that he was the president? I’ll be anxious to see how that works out. God is no respecter of persons.

Clinton’s pastor was a Southern Baptist by name as well. So what?

I don’t think I implied that he is exempt from God’s law. I just said that sometimes it takes time to find the right congregation.

As far as your, “so what” – I just thought it was interesting that his new pastor is going to be Southern Baptist since he is so liberal. I would have expected him to choose a different church community. So he has chosen for his family to hear what is hopefully a Christ-centered message.

Additionally, I thought J Wogaman was Clinton’s main pastor and is methodist.

Anyway, I just thought it was interesting. I enjoyed reading the comments on the page (yours as well) but the “so what” has negative connotations and was a bit hurtful. You could be more mild in your approaches – you know like a shepherd.

I hope that the former SBC pastor and navy chaplain preaches a Christ-centered message as well.
