Miss California believes in traditional marriage

Carrie Prejean, this year’s Miss California, was asked HER OPINION on gay marriage in last night’s Miss America pageant.  Watch her response here.

The little troll who asked her the question was one of the judges determining the outcome of the contest.  Look at what he had to say on his blog this morning (CAUTION:  link contains mild profanity).

I think it’s sad that you can’t exercise your 1st amendment rights in the Miss A M E R I C A pageant without getting a great big ration of poo.

She didn’t win the competition.  She got first runner-up.  If she was denied the crown because of her political / religious views, I hope she finds proof of it and sues for a gajillion dollars.

Newsweek article on the decline of Christianity in America

The percentage of Americans who identify themselves as Christian is now at 76% (a decline of 10% from 1990) according to a recent Newsweek article.  The article is entitled, “The End of Christian America“.

I’ve never been much of a math scholar, but isn’t that still better than 3 out of 4?  Let’s follow this logic.

Accoring to this Newsweek genius, more than 3 out of 4 citizens in this country consider themselves Christian. Yet in his mind this is the end of “Christian America”.

Now let me give you some hope we can all believe in!

If a 76% majority means “the end” of something, wouldn’t it follow that if a candidate only got say, I don’t know, 54% of the popular vote in a recent presidential election that it should mean “the end” of his presidency?

I’m just sayin’.
