John McCain has decided to suspend his campaign to go to work on dealing with the financial crisis our country faces. Story here. He encouraged Senator Obama to join him. No dice.
McCain clearly has the good of the country in view. Obama proves, again, that he’s just not ready to be president.

When your team is “in it” at the all-star break with obvious shortcomings for a pennant run, you have to make a move by the trade deadline.
The Cardinals did nothing.

Did Hochuli blow the call? Yep. He even owned up to it.
But he didn’t keep the Chargers from making the stop on that particular defensive series. And you can’t blame the ref when your team gives up 39 points and loses.
What am I missing here?
Wow. I knew that this is what they wanted to do. But I never dreamed that they would say it this clearly BEFORE the election. Biden says that paying more taxes is the patriotic thing to do…..if you make a lot of money, that is.
The truth is that the overwhelming majority of federal income taxes are paid by the very highest income earners. The top 1% of income earners pay about 32% of all income taxes. The top 5% pays 51.4%. The top 10% of high income earners pay 63.5%. And the top 20% of income earners pays 78% of all federal income taxes. That’s nearly 80% of the entire tax base being funded by only 20% of the work force!!! And Biden’s solution is to tax these folks harder? Please!
Aren’t Democrats and other assorted liberals talking about “fairness” a lot these days? What’s fair about penalizing someone just because they’ve worked hard and done well for themselves?
It’s time for a flat tax. Everybody pays 8% or 10% or whatever. Our government is breaking the backs of the hardest working Americans…….and THAT is not fair!
